Planned Maintenance

Maintenance is an essential part of facility upkeep. To circumvent costly, bothersome and potentially dangerous problems with the doors and dock equipment in your facility, always keep your doors maintained and perform daily safety checks. We offer 3 convenient ways to protect your door systems. Whatever your door service needs, Door Control Services is here to help.

Benefits of Planned Maintenance Agreements and Annual Service Plans

  • Decreased Costly Downtime
  • Reduced Probability Of Your Doors, Operators & Dock Equipment Malfunctioning
  • Increased Operational Efficiency & Reliability Of Your Facility’s Doors, Docks & Related Equipment
  • Decreased Long Term Repair Expenses
  • Extended Safe & Useful Life Of Your Doors, Operators & Dock Equipment

Taking Care of Your Investment

Your automatic doors are a significant investment in your property and steps should be taken to protect this investment. A planned maintenance program can significantly reduce the cost of ownership by increasing performance life and keeping emergency service calls to a minimum.

During a basic inspection, the doors' sensors are tuned, opening and closing speeds are checked and adjusted when needed to comply with ANSI Standard 156.10, (The national consensus standard that defines and governs requirements for pedestrian automatic door systems). In addition, components, belts, gears and lubricants, pivots, glass and guide rails are also checked.

All Inclusive Fixed-Price Plan

An All Inclusive Fixed Price Plan covers all parts and labor to meet manufacturer's operating standards. Labor is 24/7/365 with no additional charge for after hours, overtime, or weekends. This plan includes annual or semi-annual planned maintenance and AAADM inspection to insure that your doors meet ANSI safety standards and allows you to fairly and accurately budget what your doors will cost each year.

Basic Planned Maintenance Agreement

A Basic Planned Maintenance Agreement provides you with standard planned maintenance service on your doors annually or semi-annually, as well as a documented assessment, including proposed repairs, if any, to meet ANSI safety standards. Any repairs or upgrades necessary will be pre-approved by you and performed on a time and materials basis at predetermined, discounted rates.

Time and Materials

Time and Materials service is always an option. Our vans are stocked with commonly used parts and normal wear items, often precluding the need for a return visit. Our technicians are AAADM certified and ready to provide you with exceptional, high quality service. Preventative maintenance items include on sliding doors: rollers, guides, tracks, pivots, motors, controls and sensors. For swinging doors: pivots, motors, controllers and sensors are some of the basic materials needed for winterize preparations. No matter the type of door maintenance program you choose, reports of AAADM compliance should always be maintained. We provide an inspection report every time we service your doors.

Winter Maintenance

When the storms and foul weather of winter arrive, you will want to be prepared to meet any challenge. Winterizing will help prevent problems before they get out of hand.

Winterizing a door by installing or replacing bottom sweeps and weather-stripping is a great way to take care of your doors and prepare for winter. When the storms and foul weather of winter arrive, Door Control Services offers Winter Preventative Maintenance service plan to help assure your doors can survive the weather and allow customer traffic flow. Pair that with a planned maintenance inspection to ensure proper operation of the door. Our technicians will replace any parts needed to allow continued operation, which gives your doors less of a chance for an emergency call.

We provide many different types of sweeps and weather stripping depending on the model. FS77-BL is our basic bottom sweep, or choose from others available based on what you're looking for. (Planned maintenance items included on sliding doors are: rollers, guides, tracks, pivots, motors, controls and sensors. For swinging doors: pivots, motors, controllers and sensors are some of the basic materials needed for winter preparations.)
