PROBLEM
The customer had been using a sectional door for an opening where fork truck traffic brought totes in and out of the facility. By opening and closing the sectional door so often, they were losing cool air in the summer and warm air in the winter.
SOLUTION
We installed a 12-foot by 13-foot high performance door to use during business hours and recommended retaining the sectional door to secure the opening when the facility is closed. The fully impactable, high performance door uses sensors so when a forklift approaches, it opens at a speed of 78-inches per second. Upgrading this opening increases the facility’s productivity and efficiency.
