PROBLEM
Hospital Behavioral Health Unit wanted to be proactive after a nationwide uptick in patient suicides.
SOLUTION
The facility decided to have Door Control Services, a DH Pace Company, install Top Door Alarm™ in their Adult and Adolescent Units. Top Door Alarm is the only ligature resistant alarm system that is presence detection, which allows staff to be alerted to a suicide attempt before the patient has any pressure applied to their body, resulting in quicker response times for staff to tend to the patient in destress, as well as fewer attempts.
